Press Corps Position Paper Guidelines

Prior to the conference, delegates will be expected to submit two draft articles and one social media post, rather than position papers, to the dais. Both draft articles should be news stories between 300 and 700 words in length, addressing topics found in other LAMUN committee background guides. Since delegates will be unable to interview and report on committee proceedings, these drafts should be focused on recent developments in their respective topics. Additionally, these drafts should be submitted with a cited image with a caption and written in AP Style. The social media post should be an example that focuses on one of two things: reporting current, updated information about committee, socials, or engaging conference-related material or a biography post about a delegate or group of delegates.

Submission

Position Papers are due at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, April 6th (in the event of an emergency or extenuating circumstances, please email your chair to request an extension)
